As a clinical psychologist from collectivist Hong Kong working in Western paradigms and learning Indigenous Amazonian practices, I seek to embody a unique blending of traditional wisdom and contemporary therapeutic approaches.

I grew up in Hong Kong before moving to the UK, where I later trained as a clinical psychologist at King’s College London. I have years of clinical experience primarily in the field of addiction, neurodevelopment, and trauma, developing a keen interest in psychedelic research. I joined Onaya since 2016, specialising in Indigenous Amazonian traditions and ceremonial use of ayahuasca for mental health. I am also on the research advisory board for Heroic Hearts UK, a non-profit organisation using psychedelic treatments to support military veterans with PTSD. I’m also an avid musician and enjoy honing sound-healing techniques and plays with my band United Freedom Collective, signed under the UK label Dama Dama, Ninja Tune.
